Ioan Mirghesiu (Giurtelecu Simleului, 18 octombrie 1939 - 27 septembrie 2024, Brasov) was born to Nicolae Mirghesiu and Ana, in the house of our grandfather Florian Mirgheșiu (1880-1958), in Giurtelecu Simleului. His siblings were: Floare (1937-2020) and Nicolae (-March 2017). He married Elena and had two children: Marcel and Gabriela-Leontina. He was my neighbour, first cousin, and classmate at the Giurtelecu Simleului School (1946-1953). He was buried in Brasov, on Wed, October 2, 2024. Teofil Mirghesiu (n. 1938)
